Ibim Cookey

Ibim Cookey is a photo-realistic pencil artist from the Niger Delta region of Nigeria. He is a graduate of architecture and an award-winning artist and Art Ambassador to the Rivers State Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

He primarily uses graphite and charcoal pencils on paper, and his art has been linked with various exhibitions within Nigeria and internationally.

Ibim refers to his art as ‘AfroEmofusion’, coined from Afro Emotional Fusion as his drawings capture character as portraits of Africans expressing everyday emotions and sociality. He works and lives in Port Harcourt, Rivers State Nigeria.
